News & Announcements
Vanderbilt University Colonization has begun and we need your help!
Shelia Porada has graciously agreed to coordinate all of our great alumnae volunteers. Please review the information below and respond to Sheila at smylsu@aol.com by January 25th if you would be available to assist with any of these events. No need to ‘reply all’ – just email Sheila directly with which nights you are available, and rank them in order of preference if you are available multiple evenings. It is possible to have some people for set up and some for tear down if that works better for your schedule. Please coordinate with Sheila so she knows we have enough volunteers. Thanks in advance for your willingness to help!

Directions & Parking
Alumnae Work Party – Old DG house (now called Cumberland)
Colonization Events – Student Life Center & Calhoun Hall
I’ve attached a map with visitor parking (marked in red) and highlighted the Old DG House (work party), Student Life Center (colonization events) and Calhoun Hall (formal pledging) in turquoise. There is not a lot of parking closeby, so I would suggest carpooling and using this map.
Unfortunately, the DG House (now named “Cumberland”) does not have an exact address. The closest address is:
The Panhellenic House (the future home of ZTA) – the DG house, which is 3 story red brick, is directly behind this house
118 24th Ave S
Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN 37212
For more information about visitor parking, go to this website: http://www.vanderbilt.edu/traffic_parking/visitor-parking.php
Initiation & Reactivation Weekend – 3/23 & 3/24
On another note, the initiation of the colony members and installation of the new chapter is scheduled for March 23 & 24 so please mark your calendar for this historic event! Exact times are still being determined for the weekend and as those details are finalized, I will keep you informed so you can update your calendar.

Changes to Alumnae District and National Officers
National Council has also made some changes to the district for Tennessee because of the growth of alumnae chapters in the state. Middle and West Tennessee will be considered District 16-B. East Tennessee (Cookeville, Knoxville, Tri-Cities, and Chattanooga) are now in District 16-A and join the two Kentucky chapters. They will be served by Barbara Priest. Both Kentucky and Tennessee are being moved back into Alumnae Area I and are served by VPA Lori Peters.
Online Giving Available on National Website
You can now make donations to the Foundation through the ZTA website using a credit card. The process is simple. You can select a preset amount to donate or enter a specific amount yourself. The site accepts Visa and MasterCard only, and you will need to enter the security code from the back of your card. Once you have completed all the information, you simply click the “Donate” button to send your gift to the Foundation. After a few seconds of processing, you will see a confirmation screen that includes your name and address, the date, the amount, and the last four digits of your credit card. You may print this screen as your receipt. You will also receive a thank you letter from the ZTA Foundation.
