Service
Community service is always a big focus for the Nashville Alumnae chapter. We bring awareness with Titans Think Pink and Race for the Cure. We even managed to collect over 700 Yoplait lids.
ZTA collegians and alumnae pose for a photograph before handing out "Think Pink" ribbons at a Tennessee Titans game in October 2010.
We volunteered at Race for the Cure on Saturday, October 9 and the Titans game on Sunday, October 3. We had several alumni volunteer their time at the Survivor Tent. We helped answer questions, passed out In Memory and In Honor of signs, and pass out survivor gifts. There were many ZTA Alumnae that either ran or walked the race in order to participate.
This was the fourth year to be involved with the Titans for Think Pink. We had 13 ZTA Alumnae and 24 Iota Chi members volunteer for the event. We helped raise awareness of breast cancer by passing out 20,000 pink ribbons at the Titans versus Broncos game. The good comments at both events we receive from the survivors and friends/family of survivors make the time spent worth it.
Kick off your boots and stay a while! See what your Nashville Alumnae sisters are up to!
